RAMJO Riverina Waste Group continues to support the NSW Government program Love Food Hate Waste, which aims to reduce the amount of food waste that ends up in landfill – Every year, NSW households throw away more than 800,000 tonnes of edible food. Households currently spend an average of $3,800 per year on food that is wasted.

Riverina Waste Group conducts a series of workshops aimed at informing the residents of this wastage. At the sessions the educator provides helpful tips on ways of managing the task of targeted food shopping and ways that left over food can be utilised.

The events are normally held to coincide with a local festival or Agricultural Show. If you think your community would benefit from a workshop please let us know?
